Aletha “Bedda” Robinson Scholarship
Aletha “Bedda” Robinson was born on January 16, 1912. She was the oldest child of Arthur and Effie Burnett Robinson. Bedda graduated from the Madam C.J. Walker Beauty School and retired from Indiana University Hospital Housekeeping Department.
Bedda as she was passionately called by her family raised Esther Clark as a single mother. She was an avid reader that encouraged her only daughter and grandchildren to further their education. Bedda would have found joy in reading to her great-great-grandson Taylor.
Aletha “Bedda” Robinson Scholarship is dedicated to an extraordinary woman who always encouraged her family to reach for the stars. Aletha “Bedda” Robinson Scholarship will aid a single mother to further her educational goals to make a better life for her family, including Books, technical, trade or higher education.
